The Wilson Small Office / Home Office (SOHO) DualBand cellular amplifier repeater. The SOHO can typically cover 1-2 rooms (depending on outside signal strength) and handle up to 5 users simultaneously. The Wilson SOHO wireless amplifier greatly improves signal strength inside a building when using your cell phone. It does this without physical connection to your phone allowing you to walk around freely during a call. It even allows up to two cell phones and/or Data Cards to be used simultaneously. Works for most 800MHz and 1900MHz range networks including CDMA, TDMA, GSM within the US and Canada (NOTE: Will Not work for Sprint/Nextel iDen or Mike/Telus Networks.)
Requires Inside Antenna, Outside Antenna and cable (Not Included)
The Wilson SOHO In Building cellular amplifier repeater is a small, bi-directional amp that delivers service levels consistent with what would be expected in areas of high cell network coverage. They amplify a weak or shadowed cellular signal and repeat it in an in-building small office / home office (SOHO) applications. When using a Wilson amplifier in conjunction with Wilson antennas, the outside antenna will collect the cell tower signal and send it through the cable to the amplifier. The signal is then amplified and broadcast from the inside antenna to the surrounding area. Cell phones and mobile broadband data cards in that area then communicate with the improved signal. When a cell phone or cellular device transmits, the signal is received by the inside antenna, amplified by the amplifier and broadcast back to the cell tower through the outside antenna.
Requires one inside and one outside antenna plus cable (not included). Antenna connectors on the amplifier are FME Male (requires antenna cables with FME Female connectors) IMPORTANT NOTE Requires at least 25 feet of separation between Inside and Outside Antenna. Requires fairly good signal outside (2-3 bars min.). The better the outside signal, the more cellular coverage inside the building. See below for estimating improved coverage area.
